Ed Virtue
Regional Director of Operations – Full Service and Boutique Hotels
Ed has a wealth of experience in lifestyle and boutique hotels with food and beverage operations. Having spent 15 years with Kimpton hotels, he served as the General Manager of their flagship Washington DC property, The Hotel Monaco, for a decade. During this time, he honed his skills in creating exceptional guest experiences and operating a hotel which was heavily weighted in critically acclaimed food and beverage. He was promoted to Regional Director of Operations for the brand and oversaw their portfolio on the West Coast in Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Barbara counties and supported the opening of several new hotels. After Kimpton, he worked for BF Saul Hospitality Group for a few years as a VP of Operations overseeing a full and select-service portfolio. In 2020 he assumed the Regional VP role for Graduate Hotels overseeing the brand portfolio in the Central US and then transitioned responsibilities to the Southern US before joining Cornerstone Hospitality.
Ed specializes in building great properties by building great leaders and teams. He is passionate about creating memorable and meaningful moments for our guests, staff, and communities, and is always looking for new opportunities to innovate and improve our services and offerings.
In his free time, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and their two rescue Westies. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, and cycling among other pursuits.
